Frequently asked questions

The audio won't play or I get an error

First, make sure you're on the latest version of the app from the store — we regularly ship fixes. For live kirtan and the Daily Hukamnama you'll need an internet connection; the bundled Nitnem banis play offline. If a specific track still fails, please email us the bani name and your device model and we'll look into it.

How do I read a bani in Punjabi, Hindi or English?

Open the Reading section and choose a bani, then pick your language — Gurmukhi (Punjabi), Hindi, or English. You can also set your preferred language in Settings, and the reader will open in that language by default. Pinch to zoom, and the app remembers the page you were on.

How do I remove the ads?

There's an optional “Remove ads” subscription in the app (Settings → Remove ads, or the Support/Donate screen). While it's active, all banners are hidden. You can manage or cancel it any time from your Google Play or App Store subscriptions.

I subscribed but still see ads

The app re-checks your subscription each time it launches, so fully close and reopen it once. Make sure you're signed in to the same Google/Apple account you used to subscribe. If ads still appear, email us and we'll sort it out.

Do donations remove ads?

No — donations are a separate, one-time way to support the app and are kept independent of ads. To hide ads, use the “Remove ads” subscription. Either way, thank you for your support. 🙏

Does the app work offline?

Yes. The Nitnem banis (audio) and all the reading PDFs are bundled with the app and work with no internet connection. Live kirtan, online stations, and the Daily Hukamnama require a connection because they stream fresh content.

How do I cast to a speaker, or use Android Auto / CarPlay?

Tap the Cast icon on the Now Playing screen to send audio to a Chromecast or Cast-enabled speaker on the same Wi-Fi. For the car, connect your phone to Android Auto or Apple CarPlay and open Audio Nitnem from the car display to browse and play hands-free.

The Daily Hukamnama isn't loading

The Hukamnama is fetched from our server each day, so it needs an internet connection. If it doesn't appear, check your connection and try again shortly. If the problem continues, let us know the date and your region.

How do I suggest a feature or report a problem?

We'd love to hear from you. Email support@audionitnem.com with as much detail as you can (your device, the app version, and what happened). Your feedback genuinely shapes the app.

Still stuck? Email support@audionitnem.com and include your device model and app version (you'll find it at the bottom of the app's Settings screen). It helps us help you faster.
